Brennyn, you look so beautiful!
Cady, the day after I had my positive pregnancy test at home, I went to the doctor to have a urine test taken at the doctor. I was so nervous because you were just so tiny and I knew that nothing was official for a while. The nurse came back into the room and said she thought I was mistaken because the test wasn’t positive and then she looked back and it was very faint, but positive!! I was given all kinds of prenatal vitamins and a bag full of magazines. I was so excited and finally felt like I was going to be somebody’s mom! It was so exciting. Daddy and I went to Barnes and Noble that night and bought What to Expect When You Are Expecting and a science brain book for your daddy. He didn’t make it very far through that book but learned a lot from what he read.
When we went for our first ultrasound we were so excited and so nervous. I spent days researching what we would see when we went and saw you. When we first saw you all my butterflies in my tummy melted and my heart began to race with excitement. You were just a blob with a little flicker in the center. There were moments when I thought could see a “head” but it was hard to make out. While I was on the table watching you, Daddy was at my feet, massaging them and squeezing them while watching you. I was crying and so was daddy. We were just so happy to see you, so little and so sweet. I know you were in there smiling somewhere, waiting and growing so you could be with us some day. You are feisty and have such a strong personality! We are blessed to have you in our lives! The picture from your ultrasound was on my phone and I looked at it all the time. I literally spent hours daydreaming about you! I told people at work all about you and some of them thought I was jumping the gun by telling people, but I was just so excited!! You were my baby no matter what happened. 🙂 We love you so much Cady Coo! So glad you are mine!!
There is nothing like the love of a parent for her baby. You are an amazing mother, Brennyn. And Corey is one of the best fathers ever. Cady is truly blessed that you are her parents. She chose well!
