All this stuff.

A few nights ago while Cady was in the tub and I’d asked her to put her head back so I could wet her hair:

“You know, daddy…all this stuff you ask me to do? It’s a lot of stuff. I have to get out of bed. Put on my clothes. Eat my food. Clean my hair. Wipe my bootie. Clean up my room. It’s a lot of stuff to do, and I’m not proud of you any more.”

New Year’s Eve pooped.

Started with a pancake dinner. Tasted like IHOP according to her. That’s a good thing.

Opened a couple of gifts from some great neighbors and work friends that got lost in the shuffle.

Delivered some New Year’s Eve treats that all three of us worked on, to the neighbors.

Went to see the “Interlochen” Christmas lights in Arlington.

Pretty impressive.

Stopped by a Dunkin Donuts only to find out that we missed donuts by a few minutes thanks to an early holiday closing. Went home and tried out the horns and poppers for the countdown (a Madagascar countdown on Netflix).

…but someone was running out of steam quickly.

…and couldn’t be convinced to wear a hat, or even watch the countdown in any manner other than laying down.

Before our bedtime book, a quick video for mommy, who is working hard tonight taking care of little babies.

All in all, a great night.

Elf on the Shelf: Day 22

Walter goes skiing.

I think Cady must have snagged the Popsicle sticks that Brennyn had set aside for skis. Couldn’t find them when she went to bed. So I used a laundry clip. Cady was very concerned that Walter had “broken” it until I told her they go back together.
