First Trip to the Store…and naked baby!
Cady went with mommy and daddy to the store today. A stop at Baby’s R Us for some breastfeeding supplies, then to CVS to get some photos printed for Brennyn’s scrapbooking with her mom, and then a stop at Sonic to take lunch home for everyone.
We did some naked tummy time with Cady today, which just screamed for pictures. I was silly enough to think that Cady could hold her bowels and bladder until I was done…but it was not to pass. You can see the pee on the bed in the photo below…and I didn’t find the poop on my shirt until I was in the produce section at Target. After the photos on the bed, we moved Cady to the floor for some tummy time there. There’s a short video below the pictures.
The first stroller ride
A late-ish night walk tonight – because that’s the only time it’s tolerable outside here (after a high of 103 today). By the time he hit the road this evening along with Grandma Clingan, it was only 86 degrees. Very nice…but thanks to some out streetlights in the area…pretty dark in parts of the neighborhood.
Cady really liked the walk for the most part…when we were in the streetlights. She really gets a kick out of staring at the lights as we pass under them.
Cady’s First Bath-time
Cadence had her first bath-time last night. She didn’t really like it all too much…especially when her head was being washed. The only moment of tenuous enjoyment might have been when Brennyn was washing her back. She got really quiet for a small bit during that.
The best part for her – and especially us – was after the bath, when we put Cady in her little Kitty Cat bath robe. So cuddly and happy, that I could have held her like that forever. Thanks Zornes’!

…and there’s a short video I made below. Basically it’s just a slideshow with more pictures and some music. I have no idea what the song means, but I listened to it a lot before Cady came along, and really liked the chorus: “…and I saw you…”. It sounded so nice, and like the singer is really happy so finally see who he’s seeing. Just like Brennyn and I were when Cady finally came along.
