Cady’s 4 Month-ish Check-up
Cady’s 4 month-ish check-up/shots went great today. Doc quantified the perfection I sensed 😛 Development, size, eating: all perfecto! Unfortunately, the doc also marveled at how much she looks like me. Despite that – I still think she’s gorgeous.
The picture of Cady in a shopping cart is from our trip to Wal-Mart yesterday 😀
Cady and Daddy Day Dec. 5, 2010
I’ll keep a log for you here today. Brennyn. I know you miss your little monkey.
Cady’s 5AM gorging must have set her for a while, because she didn’t get up until 9:50am! Good stuff. …then 6 oz. of mommy juice from a bottle. Now (10:50am) we’re dressed and ready for a trip to Lowes (fluorescent bulbs for the laundry room) and Best Buy (for an HDMI cable for the laptop/theatre). Once I finish my coffee, and Cady wraps up the story she’s telling Charlie, we’ll hit the road. More updates later!
Daddy got all the info we needed for the new bulb…except the LENGTH.
12:05pm…sucessful visit to Best Buy despite the marred visit to Lowes. Now…napping!
1:30pm…only 4 oz of milk after her nap…but very happy (see vid below)

3:44pm…ROLLING OVER (again…finally).

4:00pm…Another 6 oz. of milk.
4:10pm…Cady was falling asleep eating, so I put her down.
6:10pm…up and at ’em! Time to watch some more football.
7:10pm…a final bottle before mamma gets home (4 oz.). Soon: bathtime!
Visit to Gammy’s
It’s official: Cady flew on an airplane!  We were so nervous but she did really well.  We were off to see Grandma and I was nervous about more things than just that little girl flying on a plane.  She would have to sleep in a new bed, sleep in a room with us, and adjust to a new schedule and environment.  Little did we know how versatile miss Cady would be!  She slept in her play yard that Gammy got for her like a champ sleeping up to 1 ½ at a time.  She ate well too, breastfeeding very well and taking a bottle at times too.  She enjoyed her new environment, mostly because it was filled with love. Â
Â
We went on several adventures too!  Aside from the plane ride to and fro, we went to eat at Casita Linda’s, McKelligon Canyon, Taco Tote, National Weather Serivce El Paso, Granpapa Graves’ house and Momma’s Pancake Emporium (Crackle Barrel). Whew! Did I miss any?  Everywhere we went people fell in love with Miss Cady Pieper.  It was great to see some old friends at EPZ and nice to see Granpapa as well.  Taylor, James, Gabrielle and Jacob all got to see Cady over a big breakfast.  We hope that it’s not too much longer before we get to come back.
Â
Thanksgiving at home was a real treat.  There is nothing like Gamma’s cooking.  We had all the fixings: turkey AND ham, twice baked potatoes, GrandPaul’s green bean casserole, homemade bread, sweet potatoes, pumpkin and pecan pie.  Yummy! We were all pretty pooped afterward.  Aunt Lauren got plenty of time to spoil the little miss and GrandPaul got tricked into holding Cady.  At thanksgiving dinner, Cady took time out of her busy schedule to creepily stare at Matt for a while.  All in all, a great trip; I miss everyone already.

Thanksgiving Weekend with the Piepers
We had a great Thanksgiving over here at the house. Brennyn cooked us up some pepper beef and rice.
Took Cady to get some Sushi with us today, and all of the waitresses there went crazy for her. We go there way too much, so they all know us…but today was the fist time we’d gotten Cady there while awake.
